Warranty Policy

Every styling tool from Lustra Beauty is backed by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Here is what is covered, how to claim, and what to expect.

This warranty policy is maintained by Lustra Beauty and applies to all styling tools and electrical beauty products sold on this store. It is in addition to your rights under South African consumer law.

12-month cover

Warranty runs from the date of delivery and covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

Repair or replace

We decide whether to repair or replace the unit at our cost. Replacement units carry the remainder of the original warranty.

No-fault assessment

We inspect the item before deciding. If the fault is covered, return shipping and repair costs are on us.

What is covered

Your warranty covers defects that are caused by the manufacturing process or materials used, including:

  • Heating elements that fail to reach or maintain the stated temperature range.
  • Battery or charging faults that prevent normal use of cordless styling tools.
  • Electrical faults, loose internal connections or power failures not caused by misuse.
  • Buttons, switches or displays that stop responding during normal operation.
  • Ceramic plates or barrels that crack, warp or detach under normal use.
  • Travel cases, charging cables or included accessories with clear manufacturing defects.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover damage or faults caused by misuse, accidents, wear and tear, or unauthorised handling. Specifically excluded are:

  • Damage from drops, impacts, crushing, liquid ingress or exposure to extreme heat or moisture.
  • Cosmetic wear such as scratches, discolouration or fading from normal use.
  • Damage caused by using unauthorised chargers, adapters or third-party accessories.
  • Repairs or tampering carried out by anyone other than Lustra Beauty or our approved service centre.
  • Failure to follow the user manual, including cleaning, storage and charging instructions.
  • Products bought from unauthorised resellers or second-hand sellers.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. 1Email us at didibulelani50@gmail.com with your order number and a short description of the fault.
  2. 2Attach photos or a short video showing the issue if possible — this helps us assess the claim faster.
  3. 3We confirm your claim within one working day and send you a return label or arrange courier collection.
  4. 4Once the item reaches us, we inspect it within 2 working days and confirm whether the fault is covered.
  5. 5If covered, we repair or replace the unit and return it to you at our cost within 5–7 working days.

Warranty timeline

Day 0

Warranty starts on the day you receive your order.

Month 0–12

Full cover for manufacturing defects; repair or replacement at our cost.

After repair

Original warranty period continues; it is not reset.

After 12 months

Standard consumer rights still apply; contact us for paid repair options.

Non-warranty repairs

If your item is outside the warranty period or the fault is not covered, we can still help. We offer paid repair assessments and will quote you before any work begins. If a repair is not economical, we will recommend the best replacement option available.
